Prophet Zechariah spent his life serving the religion of Allah, devoted to worship in the quiet corners of the sanctuary. He had grown old, his hair turning white, and his wife had long passed the age of bearing children. Yet his heart carried a gentle ache: the longing for a child who would carry the trust after him, someone to continue the legacy of servitude. As he witnessed people’s laxity in worship, his sorrow deepened. Even when hopelessness seemed to approach, he never stopped turning to his Lord.
