The people of Thamud were a powerful community known for carving magnificent homes into mountain rocks. Confident in their strength, they believed their structures would protect them from any harm. Allah sent Prophet Salih—known for his integrity and noble character—to call them away from idolatry and toward worshipping Allah alone. He urged them to abandon oppression and arrogance. Yet their pride grew as the years passed, and eventually they demanded a miracle as a condition for belief.
