The Proposal to Carry the Stone on a Cloth

The tribes of Quraysh had reached the brink of a deadly conflict over who would place the Black Stone back into its position in the Kaaba. They were moments away from drawing swords at the very door of the Sacred House. At that critical moment, they agreed on one decision: **the first person who entered through the gate of the Kaaba would be the judge.** By divine decree, the one who walked in at that moment was Muhammad al-Amīn (ﷺ). When you imagine this scene, you can almost hear the collective breath of relief that spread through the courtyard.
