Prophet Elijah (Ilyās) was sent to a people immersed in material blessings yet spiritually lost in idol worship. They worshipped a deity called “Baal,” believing it controlled rain, prosperity, and strength. But Elijah knew with certainty that only Allah governs the heavens and the earth. Over the years, his people forgot true monotheism and treated inherited false traditions as religion. In such a time, Elijah was raised as a caller who stood for truth even when he stood alone.
